The Three Approved Ways to Gain SY2023-24 Spring Academic Eligibility

Simply Qualify

Student-athletes with a 2.0 or higher SY2023-24 2nd quarter GPA with no more than one SY2023-24 2nd quarter grade below failing.

Request a Waiver

Student-athletes with a SY2023-24 2nd quarter GPA below a 2.0 with no more than one SY2023-24 2nd quarter grade below failing are eligible to participate if the average of average of their last four consecutive quarters (the following quarters – SY2023-24 1st-2nd and SY2022-23 3rd-4th) is higher than 2.0 (an Academic Eligibility Waiver Request form must be completed, signed, and attached to eligibility reports).

Academic Probation

Student-athletes declared ineligible may attempt to become eligible through academic probation. This probation period will allow students to practice but not travel or compete with teams. It is imperative to communicate to students and families that students successfully completing academic probation may not be reinstated for competing until after Spring Break.

Baltimore Ravens' Annual L.I.F.T. (Leading and Inspiring Females to Thrive) Conference

The Baltimore Ravens are hosting our Ninth Annual Leading and Inspiring Females to Thrive (L.I.F.T.) event, taking place on Thursday, April 4th at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, MD. Our goal is to empower the next generation of female athletes to harness and develop their leadership skills, in order to help them succeed, both on and off the field. We want to engage these young women in a conversation about how the skills they utilize during their sport translate to their off-field endeavors (relationships, college, workplace, professional sports arena, etc.). Each candidate selected should plan to arrive at the Ravens Under Armour Performance Center at 8:00 a.m. and be able to attend until the conference concludes at 3:00 p.m. We are looking forward to a fun-filled day of empowerment for these young student athletes, and we wouldn’t be able to do it without your help and expertise.

We ask that you share this exclusive opportunity with your students and encourage them to apply. Since you know your athletes best, we are leaving it up to each of you to choose those that you feel best fit the criteria below. We trust you to use your expertise to select female athletes who are either a freshman, sophomore or junior.

  • Untitled Leaders These aren’t the girls that are captains, leaders of their clubs, etc., but the girls that show up every day and help move the team forward through their dedication and work ethic, day in and day out.
  • Unsung Heroes They aren’t the ones scoring all the points, or the top defenders; they are the ones that do the little things that help make the team better. They are constantly putting their best foot forward so that the team can thrive. They work tirelessly behind the scenes so that all of their teammates can shine.

We have an online application as part of our selection process this year. As an organization, we feel that many girls in our local area could greatly benefit from the leadership training of this conference. This online application will allow us to select a number of girls who we feel are looking to grow as leaders an opportunity to attend L.I.F.T. If you, or any other administrators know of deserving female athletes within your school district we hope that you will encourage them to complete our online application which will be available on our team website (www.baltimoreravens.com/LIFT) until March 22.

We have included an interview conducted with last year’s keynote speaker, Stacy Dales, 2022 event recap videos and the link to the 2024 L.I.F.T application for you to share with your student athletes.
